ACTS TEams
Below is a brief description of the ACTS teams that we interact with. Included is helpful information to share with our team and guest.
The Teams:

Prayer Team
The Prayer Team ministers to both guests and volunteers by offering prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support throughout the event.
-
Like the Ambassador Team, Prayer Team members move throughout the event, intentionally engaging with guests and volunteers.
-
Approach people with warmth and openness. If someone expresses a need, concern, or joy, offer prayer right there.
-
Prayer Team would like the Ambassadors to gently encourage guests and volunteers that are available.
If you pray for someone on Saturday, please post it in the GroupMe so that we can share that information with the Prayer Team.
Women's Showers (SPA)
The Women’s shower area also known as the Women’s Spa is providing showers, clothing, hygiene items, undergarments, feminine products and kid showers.
-
Last showers are at 10:15, children can only take showers at the end of the day
-
They provide two different hygiene kits, travel and family size. The family kits are on the first ACTS Saturday of the month and have a limited amount. The family kits first come, first serve.
-
They do offer nail painting on the third Saturday of the month. This is new and still a work in progress.

Bike Crew
The Bike Team takes in donated bikes to provide to our guest and repair bikes that are in need.
-
To sign up for a bike repair, the guest needs to go to the tent in the bike area and sign up before 9:00 am. At 9:00 am they stop taking repairs for the day to allow them to work through the bikes they have.
-
As bikes become available, they work with the Resources group to provide bikes to those on the waitlist.
Dining Hall
Their primary goal is to serve food to all entering guests. If additional food is available, they will provide food to go. This area does have six outside tables and eight inside tables for serving guests and must ensure they have open seats available for those who would like a meal.
-
At 7:30 to 8:00 am, the dining area services drinks and pastries when they are available
-
Breakfast starts at 8:00 am. The first Saturday of the month is Pancakes and the third Saturday is biscuits and gravy.
-
Starting at 9:30, if food is available, they will start making burritos to go with food that has not been eaten. Guests can get up to one to two burritos based on what is available that day. Any leftover food for that day is then provided to the men’s shelters.
-
They do have a need for pastry items on Saturdays.
-
If you are having conversations with the guest, please be mindful of seating at the tables, it can be a challenge for the Dining team to keep guests moving to make room for incoming guests.

Men's Showers
The men's showers start early and have the highest number of individuals showering.
-
Men's showers start at 7:30 am and stop at 10:20 am.
-
They have available socks, underwear, t-shirts and small hygiene kits.
-
Men a limited to 5 minutes for shower time and more time for handicap individuals.
-
They also see a higher volume on the third Saturday of the month.
